LiverDophilus® is an innovative, patented probiotic solution based on the proprietary strain Lactobacillus helveticus BGRA43 and was developed through close collaboration with leading scientific institutions — the Institute for Biological Research “Siniša Stanković” (IBISS) and the Institute for Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering (IMGGE).
The project represents a successful example of how scientific expertise and industrial development can come together to create high-value health innovations.
Designed to support patients with Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease (MASLD), LiverDophilus® has demonstrated significant potential in both preclinical studies and a post-marketing clinical study in patients with fatty liver disease, supporting its potential to help reduce liver fat accumulation.
LiverDophilus® was also presented at Vitafoods Europe 2026 within the Research Project category, reinforcing the international visibility of the Lactobacillus helveticus BGRA43 research platform among global nutraceutical professionals.
